About the Biotech Intern Newsletter
Founded by Widler Casy, PhD., the Biotech Intern Newsletter is a storytelling platform published through Redbrick Bio, dedicated to capturing and celebrating the voices of interns who are shaping the future of biotechnology. This project was created from a deep passion for storytelling and a strong appreciation for the energy, resilience, and enthusiasm of interns.
Each edition features the behind-the-scenes experiences of biotech interns, whether in research labs, HR departments, or cross-functional teams. These stories provide honest insight into the challenges, breakthroughs, lessons, and defining moments that come with early career growth. Submissions are based on the Biotech Intern Newsletter Submission Form, a thoughtful set of questions that help interns reflect on their experiences while inspiring others who are just beginning their own journey.
If you are an intern learning to navigate meetings, managing a project for the first time, or discovering what excites you most about the biotech industry, your story is worth sharing. Every intern has something meaningful to contribute, and each reader can take something valuable from it.
If you’ve recently completed an internship, we would love to hear your story. If you are part of an organization that supports learning and mentorship, we encourage you to invite your interns to submit an entry when they finish their experience. This is a powerful way to reflect, recognize their progress, and contribute to a growing community of peer-driven insights in biotech.
